The Explosion Prints
Archival pigment print framed in brushed metal box frame
11hx11wx3d inches, edition of 10 each

A series of three framed archival pigment prints created to mediate fear and helplessness brought on by daily hazards around us, including chemicals in drinking water, meteors hurtling towards the earth, deadly viruses in the air, and toxins in our food, to name a few. The artworks are fantasies of an alternate scientific reality — one that is innocuous, amenable, a fool’s paradise.
For Shadowshop, I created a collaborative venture called Sweat Equity & Co. I invited artists, craftspeople, and relatives to collaborate with me on three projects: the Path-o-Gen Travel Mug Series, the Tess D’U Hand-knitted Cowls, and the Explosion Prints.
