A booklet of images that can be cut out and repositioned like a paper doll book.
Hilary Pecis’ work is a depiction of landscapes influenced by Internet, television and other media sources. Images from the internet are extracted and reassembled into a surrogate landscapes. With an interest and focus on the interchangeability of images and the capability to perceive and ignore them, Pecis draws attention to how we are conditioned by the media’s overwhelming supply of information. Hilary received both her BFA and MFA at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She has exhibited her work across the US and Europe, at such galleries as Roberts and Tilton in Los Angeles, Morgan Lehman in New York, Samson Projects in Boston, Catherine Clark in San Francisco and will be having an exhibition at Guerrero Gallery Febuarary 2011. hilarypecis.com
